Ellipse is a place conceived and created by Marie-Paule Jiccio, who signs her works as MtotheP.
Originally from Paris, she has lived and worked in New York, Barcelona and the French Basque Country. Around twenty years after her first stay in Barcelona, she returns to settle there and open Ellipse.
The project brings together her creative practice and her experience in learning design: creating, making and presenting works, welcoming those of other artists, and developing approaches that help each person build their own sculptural language through working with materials.
Ellipse provides a setting for this research and its sharing: a place to experiment with forms and processes, develop them and open the work to other perspectives.
